Interpretation Information
Anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies < 25,6 Negative result A negative test result does not exclude an ongoing or past infection. Especially in the early phase of infection, antibodies may not yet be present or may be present in undetectable amounts. Low levels of antibodies can also occur after an infection, especially when a long time has elapsed since the end of the infection, or if the infection was asymptomatic.
25,6 – 35,2 Borderline result If the result is borderline, interpretation is not possible. If there is a clinical suspicion of infection and the test result is negative or borderline, the test manufacturer recommends clarifying this by using other diagnostic methods and/or retesting the sample later.
≥ 35,2 Positive result A positive result indicates that the patient has had contact with the virus in the form of a history of disease or immunisation.
